My Church

Dropped my burdens, the weight of the world
Down into the deep dark blues and greens

Tossed my cares, the worries and hurt
Into the light bright yellows

And, all of those things
The heart heavy things

Were caught by The One
And disappeared

Through my brush

My church is not, nor will it ever be
A building of brick, wood or stone

It’s a place in my heart
A private shelter

Where He resides
And will remain
